Answer: Your salary is used to determine your federal annuity for retirement as well as used in determining premium cost of FEGLI.

Answer: If you did not start in a career position, your service date will be the date that you began your career service. This date is used to determine your eligibility for retirement.

Answer: In order to generate your benefit analysis, we need to know the approximate date that you expect to retire.
How much do you estimate your TSP balance to be?
Answer: Your TSP balance affects the growth of your TSP dollar amount. Your balance may increase or decrease depending on your fund selections.
What percentage or amount from your income you are putting in TSP?
Answer: The government can contribute up to 5% of your salary to the TSP each pay period, as follows: 1% agency automatic contribution paid whether or not you are contributing to the TSP. A dollar-for-dollar match on the first 3% of your salary that you contribute each pay period.
What is your date of birth?
Answer: Your date of birth is a used to determine your eligibility for retirement, and also affects the premium cost for FEGLI.

Answer: Option B is additional coverage that will increase your death benefit up to (1) one,(2) two, (3) three,(4) four, or (5) five times your basic annual pay. In choosing this election your cost of premium will increase.

Answer: You may choose Option C to provide your spouse with life insurance. You may choose (1) one, (2) two, (3) three, (4) four or (5). These options provide different coverage amounts for the death benefit. All eligible family members are automatically covered.
