What is this dataset?
It is the official TSP daily share price file, trimmed to what a participant checks most: the latest close per fund with its recent changes, a 30-trading-day price table and the last 13 month-end closes. The site re-reads the TSP file twice a day, so the as-of date beside the table is the newest close the TSP has published. For calendar-year returns by fund see TSP returns by year.
Source: Official TSP daily share price CSV, 2003-05-31 to present, one column per fund. tsp.gov, checked 2026-11-03, effective 2026-11-02. Prices as of November 2, 2026, the latest close in the TSP file. Changes compare that close with the prior trading day, five trading days earlier, the last close on or before one month earlier, the last close of 2025 and the last close on or before one year earlier. Historical figures, not a forecast.

How do I read the table?
- CloseThe fund's share price at the end of the trading day shown.
- 1 dayChange from the prior trading day's close.
- 1 weekChange from the close five trading days earlier.
- 1 month and 1 yearChange from the last close on or before the same date one month, or one year, earlier.
- Year to dateChange from the last close of the prior year, the TSP's own year-to-date basis.
- L FundsMixes of the five core funds that shift toward the G and F Funds as their target date nears.
What moves a share price?
Each core fund tracks a defined investment and its price moves with that market: the G Fund holds special Treasury securities with principal protected, the F Fund tracks a broad U.S. bond index, the C Fund tracks the S&P 500, the S Fund tracks U.S. stocks outside the S&P 500 and the I Fund tracks international stocks. Share prices are net of fund expenses, so a price change is the fund's return for that period. A fund's price level says nothing about its quality: the C Fund's price is higher than the G Fund's because it has grown more since both started at $10.00 in 2003, not because one share is worth more to own.

Daily prices are a fact. What to do with your allocation near retirement is a conversation.

Questions about this data
When does the TSP post share prices?
The TSP posts each trading day's share prices after the markets close, usually in the evening Eastern time, and skips weekends and market holidays. This page checks the TSP's price file twice a day and shows the latest close it finds, with its date.
Why is today's price not on the page yet?
Because the TSP has not posted it. Prices for a trading day appear after the close, so during market hours the newest price is the prior trading day's. The date beside each price tells you which close you are looking at.
What does the one-month or one-year change compare?
The latest close against the last close on or before the same calendar date one month or one year earlier. Year to date compares the latest close with the last close of the prior year, which is how the TSP reports year-to-date returns.
Are these prices the same as my account statement?
They are the same official share prices the TSP uses to value accounts. Your balance is your shares in each fund times that day's price. Prices already reflect fund earnings and expenses, so there is nothing to add or subtract.
Where are the annual returns by year?
On the TSP returns page, which lists calendar-year returns for every fund back to 2004, computed from these same prices.
